nex-meet is video meetings for organisations that want what was agreed to outlast the call. What nex-meet video meetings cover
Most video meetings end with somebody promising to send the notes, and the extra work agreed never reaching the bill. nex-meet makes the meeting itself the record. It covers:
- Video meetings in the browser, with camera, microphone and screen sharing.
- Guests who join from the link in their invitation, with no account and nothing to install.
- Notes, decisions and action items written down while the meeting runs, against the job or customer it was about.
- An optional AI meeting assistant, nex-genie, brought in by the organiser one meeting at a time.
- Genie's notes emailed to the organiser when the meeting ends, and kept in Nexcubator.
Meeting notes and action items that land where they belong
Usually what was agreed is typed afterwards into two or three other apps, or lost. In nex-meet the organiser notes it in the room, and each item becomes what it really is: a task with an owner in nex-orbit, a date on the plan, or a line on the bill in nex-track.
Decisions kept, with the date and who was there
"I thought we said..." Here the decision is on the record, dated, with the attendees, on the job or customer it concerned, so a year later you can see why something changed.
Extra work reaches the bill
Agreed in nex-meet, it is on the job straight away, so it is on the next bill.
Genie, the AI meeting assistant in the room
Genie in meetings is nex-genie, the AI assistant that works across Nexcubator, taking part in a call. It is off unless the organiser switches it on for that meeting. When it joins, everybody is told, and it appears on screen as a participant labelled "AI assistant".
Speak to it by name
Genie answers when spoken to. Sarah can say "Hey Genie of Sarah, what did we agree about the delivery date last time?" because her Genie remembers her earlier meetings with the same people.
Running notes, a recap, and "catch me up"
Genie keeps notes as the meeting runs, and gives a recap when asked. If Mark arrives twenty minutes in, Genie can catch him up on screen instead of the room repeating itself.
Suggestions the organiser approves on the fly
When Genie hears a task, a follow-up meeting or a decision, it proposes it. Nothing becomes real until somebody who is allowed approves it, and the organiser approves or turns items down as the meeting goes.
Notes emailed afterwards
At the end, Genie writes the summary, decisions and tasks, keeps them in Nexcubator for the organiser and emails them. The organiser can delete everything their Genie remembers at any time.
Privacy in video meetings: nothing recorded
nex-meet has no recording feature. Not switched off: not built. Audio and video are never stored, and chat never reaches our servers.
Speech becomes text only while the organiser has brought Genie in. A guest can ask for it to be switched off, the organiser can do so at any moment, and nothing said after that is transcribed. The transcript is deleted when the notes are written at the end of the meeting, and in any case within 24 hours. The services that turn speech into text and write Genie's answers neither keep nor learn from what they are sent.
Genie does not score, rate or profile anybody, and what it hears is not used in decisions about the people in the meeting. Audio and video are encrypted in transit; that is not end-to-end encryption, and we do not call it that. Retention periods are on privacy in the apps; the wider approach is on security.

What is nex-meet?

How is it different from a standalone video meeting tool?
A standalone tool keeps its own copy of the meeting and leaves the follow-up to people. In Nexcubator the meeting sits on the job or customer, approved action items become tasks, and agreed extra work is on the job for billing. There is no integration to set up, because every nex app reads the same records.
Does the AI meeting assistant record or transcribe my meetings?
Nothing is ever recorded: nex-meet has no recording feature. Speech is turned into text only while the organiser has brought Genie into that meeting, and everybody is told. The transcript is deleted when the notes are written, and in any case within 24 hours. Details are on privacy in the apps.
